Day to Night-Light Skirt [DIY]
MikaelaHolmes has posted a guide that shows you how to make your own LED skirt. The skirt lets you put on a better show at night. Of course, you can keep the LEDs off.

The developer used a pre-programmed LED chip that can be controlled by a remote to complete this project. Of course, you could use Arduino to come up with a more sophisticated solution.

LED skirts Jellyfish
Lumilectric has put together a guide that shows you how to to make a Jellyfish Skirt

You are going to need RGB LEDs, Arduino, 200 x 2 m long fiber optics, and a few other parts and tools to get started. The above video shows what this skirt looks like. More information is available here.

Knappa Tutu: LED Skirt
Here is a skirt hacked with IKEA lamp parts and LEDs that glows in response to your moves.

You are going to need two Knappa Pendant Lamps, an Adafruit NeoPixel RGB LED Strip, an Sparkfun Arduino Mini Pro 5V, and a few other parts to get started.

A skirt that Lights up, Making a Christmas Costume
It's made from tulle, organza, wreath mesh, and garlands/christmas decorations from Michaels.
12 meters of warm LED lights. They are battery powered, the battery packs are sewn into pockets in the back of the dress.
